Tortuga Beach Grill & Bar

We had Lobster Roll (wouldn't get again, it's like a salad similar to tuna), chicken sandwiches (good but way too small for the bread, salads (good), and Mahi Mahi bites (decent). Fries were also good, tap water has an odd taste.

We arrived Thanksgiving Day in the afternoon and was hungry. There were a few options for a Thanksgiving meal at The Westin's Hotel and we are glad we decided on Tortuga Beach Grill. We had the Thanksgiving sandwich which was huge, filled with turkey, stuffing, Cole slaw and gravy. We also had sweet potato fries. Excellent meal. I brought back to the room my half of the sandwich. Right on the beach, we later went here for Happy Hour and both times service was good and the atmosphere fantastic! We would recommend this restaurant!

We weren’t staying at the Westin, but our host insisted we check out their restaurant to enjoy a laid back sunset dinner. I would recommend!

Always a wonderful evening enjoying delicious food, in wonderful surroundings, accompanied by the skilled artistry of Nathan and Glen on Classical Guitars, while watching the sun sink into the ocean.

Foods overpriced. U pat 4 atmosphere & scenery IG peeps will love this place specially nite time. Live music westin hotel right on the beach kinda like in tulum

All of the food is excellent. We had the grouper sandwich and jerk chicken pizza. Both were perfect. Drinks are excellent, and the service is incredible in that someone will always stop to check on your table even if they are not your server.

Technically at Westin. The food is OK and they have a wide selection of cocktails. It is right by the so you have a nice view between the beach chairs and cabanas. The bartenders could be a little more attentive but the waiters were OK. Nice for a chill Sunday by the tables and a little more vibes by the bar. A bit pricey.

Great spot right on beach for food and drinks. Part of the Westin. Great couch fritters and grouper sandwich! Actually everything we had there was great and very fresh.

Our lunch was great except we thought the fish tacos were a little fishy. We didn’t like the dark fish in them. Otherwise, very good and service is top notch.

We were staying at the Westin and had both lunch and dinner at Tortuga. For lunch we ordered the lobster roll and the fish tacos. I would definitely recommend the tacos! The lobster roll was okay. Also, silly to mention but their fries were delicious and crispy! I would not recommend dining with them for dinner. It is extremely crowded and the bugs are pretty intense, also as you can tell by the pictures it is super dark! They had little table lamps but that was it and they weren’t doing much. The food was nothing special, especially for the price. We ordered pizza, wings, and the seafood tempura plate. The jerk sauce for the wings was very good, if you order them I’d definitely give it a try.

Awful. Lobster rolls were tasteless, we didn't even finish them. Drinks were weak. This is not a restaurant, it is the concession stand at the Westin pool. It is resort pool deck hell. The view of the sunset is blocked with beach furniture and dirty towel bins. Do not waste your time here.

Stayed at the hotel recently and tried the food at the outside restaurant. My wife ordered a cauliflower salad and I tried the arugula pizza. Both dishes were terrible. She can get a much better salad and fresher at Wendy’s for a 1/4 of the price. The pizza was like eating salt on a crust bought from the local grocery store. To top it off the beer on tap was flat and the service was horrendous. Our server had about 10 tables and I saw him perhaps 3 times very quickly, once to take our order, one to take the salad and beer back and finally to get the over priced bill. The property is gorgeous but I will ensure I never dine here again. They should take the chefs from the Marriott on seven mile as the food there is awesome but no beach pushed us here to the Westin….

The food is excellent! Worth every penny they charge for it. The view is priceless! The staff is friendly, kind, and attentive.

I've tried a bunch of the food here and I will likely not be back. The quality and quantity just doesn't seem worth the prices, but I'm aware the food is overpriced to gear towards tourists. I've had the chicken tenders, beef burger, fish tacos, and chicken burger. The beef burger was huge and the fish tacos were good but watery which caused the bottom of the tortilla to fall apart. Fries are overly cooked and very greasy. The service has been great, super friendly.

Food is good and atmosphere is great! Knocked off 1 star for the high prices.
We got the jerk chicken pizza (huge serving- can definitely be a shared dish!), grouper sandwich which was delicious, and Cesar salad which was also very good.
The mahi Mahi fish bites appetizer was amazing! I would absolutely come here again just to get this.

Drinks:
Soggy Dollar drink was delicious. Similar to a piña colada.
Seven Mile Punch was very strong! And delicious

Tortuga is a pretty good place for casual fare. It’s a fairly typical beach side resort restaurant with great views and average food. The menu could use a little sprucing up but the jerk chicken and burgers are very good. I might suggest live entertainment too as we didn’t have any either night.

The food is just really meh. I'm sure for most of the holiday makers it's great but I feel there is better elsewhere to eat for a resident. Service was both pleasant and fast enough though chips arrived cold to the table, I didn't bother sending back the hotdog which was luke warm. Setting is nice, just off/on the beach and happy looking visitors. Oh, lastly, the changing facilities in the ladies was a shelf the men's was a proper table positioned right in the same area as the urinals (ie no one else could have used at the time I was changing my daughter). No bin in the room either.

Would never recommend this spot. Westin went down the drain with this restaurant. Very low standards. Drinks are so small and over priced. Might as well go to the kimpton to Coco lobo and enjoy better drinks and food. Ordered the West Indies wrap. It was disgusting. Chicken was cold. It was supposed to be jerk chicken but had no seasoning, sauce or flavor. I would not eat or drink here again. Very disappointed.

Never ate here, just used the beach-chair service on Westin's portion of the beach. Press a little buzzer, and within minutes a server is there to take your order (food or drinks). Personally, I suggest waiting for the 5-7 happy hour. The staff is very friendly and attentive.
