22The ackee and salt fish with green bananas, pumpkin, and boiled dumpling was so delicious! It was all hit and fresh tasting, the ackee and salt fish was not oily and cooked tender and tasteful. Very clean and homey-feeling restaurant. My very first time but I will be back.
Had the bagel sand which with egg, bacon and cheese! Delish! And had their plain gazed donut! Omgoodness! Out of this world donuts!
One word…. DONUTS!
Actually they are so much more! Our lunch was absolutely amazing!
Unfortunately the worst meal we had in the island. Such a disappointment with all microwave food: (
Everytime I visit Brac, the breakfast and donuts are a must before I depart. Food is amazing and the staff offer great service everytime I visit!
Good food - we went for breakfast and there was a good range of sides. Possibly the best and freshest filled donuts on the island! We had to go the next day for more! Their fresh ginger juice was also tasty and refreshing.
Good Spot breakfast. It was very full today with no room to dine in.only take out. Excellent ackee and selfish with "food" (boiled dumplin, cassava, banana, sweet potato, pumpkin and fried fritter)
Excellent food @ reasonable price with friendly staffs even though was a mall place. Just good if you are looking only for good.
I believe the roast chicken sauce should be looked into again. Thats the only thing on the menu that turns me off. Everything else is ok. Good to dine donuts are delicious.
I had the Cayman conch dinner and it was really good. My hubby had a fish dish that he didn't love. Friendly service and best food overall we had on the island.
My favorite place in Cayman Brac to dine in or take out. Very clean restuarant lots of parking and yes the local food is on point food is served in under 15 Minutes.
We have been here twice already this week! The fish and conch strips are amazing! Choice of sides and a generous portion! The conch burger is conch, not breading and the jerk chicken sandwich is also good. Good iced tea! Great, fast service!
My wife and I and our two small children enjoyed a meal here. The menu gives plenty of options to choose from, I chose special fried rice and really enjoyed it! The kids munched their way through their quesadillas. There is no alcohol on the menu.
Probably or favourite place on the island. The locals love it which is a good sign. Food always good and plentiful. Service good and very reasonable prices.
Amazing customer service. Value size meals and really friendly staff. Thank you Star Island Team!
Good local and traditional breakfast diner with huge, multinational options for lunch and dinner.
This place was recommended to me by my Airbnb host, and also by a local that I was working with during my business trip here. I ate dinner twice, and breakfast and lunch once each. So this restaurant basically fed me during my short trip here, and I wasn't dissapoonted with any my meals.
I'm a vegetarian that sometimes each fish, so pescatarian. I had the Wahoo (kingfish), conch, and mahi-mahi (they call it by its other name - dolphin [fish]) with rice and beans, steamed vegetables, or fried plantains. Everything was fresh and delicious. You can order each fish dish prepared in different styles, including Cayman style (red sauce). You can also adjust the level of spiciness, and if you want to add more they have pickled spicy peppers with onions and carrots.
They also have Chinese dishes, and local specialties like stewed turtle. Their desserts are all homemade.
It is a family style restaurant, with a very relaxed ambiance. You can really feel at home here.
Had a tasty Sunday beef roast and blackened mahi-mahi with fresh salad and boiled vegs as side dishes. The place is clean, bright and staff is friendly.
The food is fantastic! You can get so many types of foods, for a reasonable price! The lovely people who work here are so sweet, never make you feel like you’re bothering them.
There is no denying that the prices are great and there is such a wide range of options, however with such a wide range, there is a downfall. "jack of all trades, master of none" is the motto which should be remembered here. I eat here regularly, out of necessity for the circumstances of my visits, however the standard of the cooking is declining. On my most recent visit, I placed an order over the phone to be collected for four people; placing the order was such a chore but this may have been down to the language barrier; we had to repeat the orders several times, and when asked to repeat the order back so that we could be sure the order was correct, it was still wrong and we corrected the order again. This went on for way longer than necessary. Upon collecting the orders, two of them were still not correct and one of our party was served only the meat part of their entrée with no sides (despite our clarifying the sides several times). I can only speak about my own order where it relates to taste, and I was incredibly disappointed; I ordered chicken curry and white rice. The chicken was very obviously freezer burned and was tough to eat. I wish I could give more stars but the food is not as good as it used to be and the last four orders I have placed over the telephone have not been correct, I believe in part due to the language barrier.
