Peanuts Red Bay

It was once a great place when Peanut owned it. However, since he has now leased it out; the place is just running down to the ground. It looks like the new owner didn’t keep the great staff that was there before. Instead they have now hired young Spaniards that act like they don’t even want to be there and give the absolute worst customer service. They don’t greet you with a smile, they aren’t pleasant and in fact one has even told me she cant wait for her shift to be over. Yes they are beautiful but that’s all they have going for them because they don’t have any personality whatsoever. Also, on several occasions they have tried to cheat me of money. The first time, I noticed my bill was high for the small amount of items that I had. I asked the cashier for the receipt (something they don’t give you) only to find out they charged me $30 for 6 cans of Pepsi! To all that don’t know, a can of Pepsi is like $1.10.so yeah that was off massively! Even when I tried to point it out to her she kept insisting that it was correct and then finally she realized and agreed with me. I think that if you’re a cashier and this is what you do everyday, it should have been her to really pick up on the fact that something was wrong with the total for 4 small items. On a next occasion I asked for my receipt because I just didn’t trust them after that first incident, I was in a rush and didn’t check it until I got home and when I did I saw that they double charged me for an item. I still haven’t spoken to them about it and just don’t even want to waste my time going back there. Now it’s just weird that this is constantly happening and I do believe that the cashiers are intentionally doing this to customers in order to pocket the money themselves. Another thing I can’t stand is that there are no price tags on items and so it’s like a surprise every time you go to the counter because you just never know what the total will be or if they are even charging the correct amount. Peanut.if you are reading this.please do us all a favor and take this place back over. I beg of you! I really loved how convenient it was to get BK and pop into the gas station to get anything extra, but now I hate going there.

Convenient location, basic needs and friendly service. Place was clean and neat. Prices were reasonable.

IMPROTANT: If you use your debit or credit card to make a purchase, it temporarily charges your card $100. I got an alert from my credit card company about this and I didn't know so I said I didn't recognize the transaction and ended up having to get a new credit card. Overall, it's a very new and clean gas station for the island. It's pretty easy to get to off of the main road, though watch out for the traffic getting back onto the main road.
