80 My husband and I have eaten here many times over the years of visiting Cayman. It never disappoints, from the ambiance to the service to the food, all 6 star.
Best pasta anywhere. The fish dishes are creative and delicious.
Our personal favorite.
We were with a large group and had a limited menu to chose from. The carpaccio was excellent everything else was just so so.
Lucca never disappoints. The gnocchi is amazing. It melts in your mouth. So fresh and the truffle is perfection. But what makes Lucca special are the people. They are always welcoming and our Nepal waiter is just so special.
It was like being at Disney world. Extremely crowded and extracting the most money in the shortest timeframe. Kids everywhere, food average, atmosphere horrible
Great food and great service!
The beef carpaccio is amazing! The pasta ragou was also great. Cocktails were good, and the wine selection is endless. Good options for the kids. Highly recommended.
Alex was wonderful. Short rib ravioli and lobster ravioli were amazing. We were recommended Luca by a friend at our wedding in Oklahoma, USA! We will be making the same recommendation to anyone that comes to Grand Cayman!
The food and service were amazing. We had a special event there and bar far the best and most professional experience I have ever had. I would recommend Luca for a fantastic meal or any special event big or small personal or business. You will not regret it.
The food was good but the service was extremely slow. The drinks were never refilled and we had to get up and ask for the check. There was only 3 tables inside and the servers were busy joking around with each other. I would consider takeout.
We loved the hospitality, great food, and impeccable service at Luca’s. We would’ve loved to have sat outside, but the decor and atmosphere was amazing inside as well. Luca’s was a great part of our vacation to Grand Cayman
Quiet, beautiful small resort on seven mile beach. Outstanding restaurant serves tasty Italian style seafood, pasta and more. Perfect lunch or dinner spot
Have dined at Luca every time we visit Cayman over the past 12 years! Never disappoints! Always excellent! Great menu with choices for every palate! The views are incredible! Be sure to go to catch the most amazing sunsets! Their wine cellar will excited the finest wine connoisseurs! Bites and drinks at bar, full dinner, fun lunch or their world class brunch buffet, this is a must do for foodies! "
Luca offers an amazing atmosphere for a nice dinner. The sunset is spectacular from the terrace. They offer a dedicated vegan/vegetarian menu that includes many gluten free options. A very nice wine list is an added bonus. If you're vegan and staying on 7 mile beach, I highly recommend Luca for a romantic dinner!
The host was excellent. He gave us one of the best seats with no reservation at the end if the night. We had the Mahi and pappardelle with short rib. Both dishes were delicious. Will return
Love this place! We had 7: 30 reservations so although we sat outside, I wasn’t able to see the beach because it was so dark. It’s a lovely quiet restaurant that has very attentive service. I appreciate the detail of how they look after you. The food was absolutely delicious! I had a hard time deciding what to order. There were three of us, so we ended up sharing a couple dishes. However, special mention must go to the tiramisu. It was served in a glass and was the best tiramisu I’ve had! Someone else ordered the chocolate gelato, and it was way too rich for my liking. I definitely would like to go back and try additional dishes.
Was terribly disappointed in this place. We made reservations prior to even arriving to the island. The only place we HAD to go to. It was our last night, which we were hoping would be special. We were the second table to be seated and sat for over 30 mins to be acknowledged while we watched older, seemingly "richer" people be sat and served prior to us. For reference, we are in our mid-30s, upper middle class, with money to spend.which we had, every night prior at other random restaurants we stumbled upon. The Caymans have been a bucket list item for me and it was my boyfriends first international trip. We were sparing no expense. I felt like we were treated poorly/ignored due to our looks and/or age. That all changed when I asked for the Sommelier, who was lovely and basically turned around our entire evening. Unfortunately, his efforts and kindness still weren't enough as we already had such a sour taste in our mouths from being treated less than. We took our food, which looked AMAZING, back to our hotel and barely ate it because who wants to eat lobster and steak in their hotel room?
I typically don't write poor reviews, unless I think they're absolutely necessary. I have worked in the restaurant industry my entire life and I have seen judgements that can be passed on others prior to even offering waters. I find this to be absolutely disgusting as your JOB is to create a welcoming and wonderful atmosphere and experience for the customer. I don't believe that the customer is always right, but I do believe in not judging a book by its cover. We WILL be back to the Caymans and our now only MUST, is the Cracked Conch. Judgment free and insanely friendly. Which, outside of LUCA, seems to be the Caymanian way. If I wanted to get sub par service for overpriced food, I would have gone to Paris.
Do better LUCA. I know you can.
The food here was an 11 out of 10. We started with the lobster bites. Hard to describe how delicious they were. And then we went on to salads. Extremely fresh and high-quality. For an entrée, I have the fresh made pasta with lobster and shrimp. The flavors were amazing.
As for the service, from the maître d’ to the weight staff, the level of joys in their tone was palpable.
Yes, dine here!
Beyond excellent! Classy, white table cloth style. Outstanding wine list. We had a fabulous waiter when we dined in August and loved everything. Aside from ordering apps, pasta and dinner, we also had sushi which was fantastic. Best white veal bolognese ever. *Kid friendly and our favorite restaurant in the Caymans.
The service and food at Luca were amazing. Our reservation was at 9 PM, and it was quite busy when we arrived. The host welcomed us with a big smile. We went for my husband's birthday dinner, which I noted when I made the reservation. Every staff member that we talked to wished him happy birthday (the host, the server that poured our water, and our waitress). They even remembered it was his birthday as we were leaving and wished him a happy birthday again! I also noted on our reservation that I can't eat gluten and they had the gluten free menu ready for me without me having to ask for it. The gluten free pasta was delicious, and tasted like regular pasta. We also had the beef carpaccio, which was also delicious. Our waitress brought a birthday dessert for my husband, but also made sure that it was gluten free so he could share it with me. All of our drinks and food arrived in a timely manner. Everything was perfect, thank you!
Went forward business lunch. Seating and service was prompt. Staff was very courteous. Opted for the 3 course lunch special menu for $28. Selected Creamy Pumpkin soup, the Creamy house-made parpadelle pasta with bacon & Walnuts (delish), and the chef special for dessert was a Crème brûlée (2 small perfect sized portions). Great value for great food. Will be back. Also helps that there is a view of the ocean.
Everything was excellent. Great location that was perfect to see sunset. Food was exceptional.
