65Keep your receipt! You might need it. They will scam you! The waitress brought me a bill with 2 prices USA106.25 and CA84.81 Later in the USA I saw 2 transactions on my VISA. One for $106.25 and another $84.81 total $191.06. When I disputed the transaction with my bank, the restaurant disputed it back. We had 2 appetizers and one bottled water. Food was mediocre and service miserable.
Delicious food, awesome atmosphere and exceptional customer service. Also, a wide variety of wine selections.
The view was spectacular, as was the service. I was at a party there and was the only vegetarian. The staff and manager went over and above to make sure they provided me with vegetarian food choices. This is a great place for special events.
A very nice & large restaurant by the sea with plenty of seatings. Need reservation for dinner. We had lunch there & the place was empty, it gets busy in the evening. We went next day for dinner. Lunch special was $35 for appetizer or dessert + entree, can be chosen from regular menu too. We had Tuna patty, Vegetables curry with rice, beef soup, red snapper with rice & vegetables. Food was delicious & very good service. For dinner we had corn fed chicken kebab, Rack of lamb & both dishes were delicious. They served complementary bread with main course, could serve the bread before. Food was delicious both days. Tap water is safe to drink in the island, so we asked for tap water, did not buy bottled water. It is an expensive restaurant. Portion size is perfect. They add 18% service charge. Sunset view is amazing from the restaurant. We enjoyed our lunch & dinner here & i recommend this restaurant.
Great place. Took a tour with the owner, who treated us like family. Best hand rolled cigar I have ever had. Can't wait to return next year.
Food was great and service was perfect!
I was just recommend getting more fans during outside?
Must have had an off night based on other reviews. We were dead to the waiter the second we didn't order drinks. We barely saw the guy. When it came time for the check he plopped it down and walked away without sayings anything. Not a I hope you had a great meal or have a great day.just silence. After booking through their website and confirming via email too they still lost our reservation. The only redeeming quality was the table we sat at. Great view. My snapper was cooked to death. Just had snapper at Luca the night before. Go there. For the same money it's a million times better on all fronts.
Wonderful experience and thought it was best experience that we’ve had. The only minor issue was our server was a bit off. She spilled water on me and laughed (nervously) and didn’t even apologize. It was only water so no big deal but an ‘I’m so sorry’ was in order. Wonderful place, top notch.
Excellent service in a historic building. Dine & Dash express lunch is a good value and changed bi- monthly. $$$$$. Try the tuna as a app if on menu. Sticky toffee pudding was also excellent. The mango sorbet was also very good.
Had a lovely pan fried snapper which had a delicious cream sauce with a touch of wine for lunch. It was excellent! The flavors and textures were nothing short of perfect! Also the wait staff were very attentive and gracious! Please try the red velvet lava cake and the sticky toffee pudding. They are a great end to the meal. A great dining experience! Not to mention a beautiful view. Will always come back when in Grand Cayman!
Out of all the restaurants I dined at during my week long stay at Grand Cayman this one had the best view, ambience and friendliest service. The sunset views here are #1 on the island! The food and drinks were the best too!
Amazing food! The patio is on the water. And when it’s dark the blue lights attract the tarp to the shore.
Absolutely beautiful location seated right next to the ocean, listening to the waves lap against the rocky shore, watching tarpons swim. The sunset was enchanting and the weather perfect. She had lobster and I had rack of lamb. Both were delightful. The service was exquisite. The wine list included Lecole 41, my favorite wine from Washington state. It was a perfect evening. I highly recommend Grand Old House to anyone, especially those seeking a truly unique and romantic evening.
We had a great experience at Grand Old House. The hostess set us up with a great seat to watch the sunset and check out the fish at night time. The food was fantastic. We had the pan seared red snapper and bacon wrapped Wahoo. The service was exceptional. Was able to get a last minute bday celebration included with the meal. Will be a repeat customer.
Best seafood we have had on the island so far! Amazing service, awesome variety of cuisine and you CANNOT beat the view. We sat right on the water during sunset which just added to the amazing experience. Desserts of choice were red velvet lava cake and banana toffee cake. Both absolutely amazing! Come here for a romantic night out! You won’t be disappointed.
We had a wonderful dinner and absolutely in our 5 visits to Cayman this was by far our best dinner!
Dinner of the year. We were sat at the end of the dock, right on the water. Tarpon and nurse sharks swam below us. We ordered Conch Fritters, Ceviche of the day (Mahi-mahi), Jumbo shrimp, and Surf and Turf. It was all totally delightful, service was kind and attentive. Unlocked a positive core memory here.
The food was great, the service was great everything was great about this restaurant loved it had a great time ain't gonna lie
Tourist Trap.if a hotel tells you eat here they are getting PAID.the food was awful, the waiter Too.they feed the fish on the pier and my table was over run, Back to the Food, i have had better Frozen Food then the salmon i had and didnt eat. JUST STAY AWAY. EAT AT LUCA. GREAT GREAT FOOD.
While on vacation in Cayman we had dinner at the Grand Old House with some friends. The restaurant is such a must try with its great location right on the water which makes dinner al fresco a spectacular experience. The food was delicious and the service couldn’t have been better. I was especially impressed that they have Pappy Van Winkle on the drink menu for those nights that you are celebrating something extra special.
