61The fish rundown was great.the pasta was okay.the cracked conch was more salty than flavorful.
The #1 restaurant in Grand Cayman and I have tried them all!
Lisa the manager is the epitome of not only enthusiastic, capable, helpful, talented and simply the rave. She runs this business with white glove service and the team is the finest team of servers I have met.
They don't miss a beat.
It is rare to find someone like Lisa in this business.
She is also one of the reasons I always recommend this restaurant and the Kimpton Seafire loves her too as do all of the concierges on Grand Cayman because she cares deeply for her successful restaurant her employees and the clients and has a lot of pride in her work and her exquisite team.
The team is upbeat with smiles all the way around but also very serious that you get exactly what you want.
Very family friendly, too. The outside deck is very popular but I love sitting inside next to the door for a table of one. They are so nice to me and always make me feel at home.
I have ordered and love the steak tartare, lobster and shrimp with basmati rice not mashed potatoes, asparagus with no butter, most of the appetizers, love their house salad, filet, sticky toffee pudding and many flavors of ice cream.
I also like most of the items on the new menu it is always hard to change a menu when people are so used to the old one but I enjoyed everything and also the chef's flexibility.
Extensive wine list I usually order Sancerre by the glass and they always remember.
I am always grateful to be able to dine here as many as four times a week whilst on vacation as I love the location, vibe and the food and the FABULOUS service!
My server is usually Joao Cruz who is the finest server I have ever met and I am a world travelling foodie.
But each and every server is incredible since they are so customer oriented.
I will miss them until my next holiday to GCM.
It is my home away from home so warm and cozy with exceptional food, service and location.
Incredible!
By far, our favorite place on Grand Cayman.
The staff was friendly, helpful, and made us laugh.
We went specifically to try the sticky date pudding.
This is the best sticky date pudding we have had.
This is a place to ensure you visit!
Great, friendly service. Food was not so great, ordered the paella (first time trying paella) and it tasted like yellow rice with different meats thrown into it. Fish cake tasted like tuna out of the can and fried wish i got the crab, tuna sashimi was good. Wish i got to try the sticky toffee pudding as apparently, that’s what they’re known for.
Some new friends we made in the beach told us about this place. This was our first trip to the island. Wow! Great food and exceptional service. Especially from Jaoc. Best waiter we have had in a long time.
You must have the fried conch! Best I have ever had. Everything was amazing.
Great dinner! Staff is very friendly, welcoming. Food was amazing… crab cake, Lamb, and seafood mix!
To much salt. Sorry. From roast chicken, fish and chips to snappers with steam vegetables. Not a fan of the fried fish covered in batter.
This is the best meal yet for this trip.

Sticky Toffee, wow.
Great service
Ridiculously good. Had grouper, mojito and margarita. Sticky toffee for desert. Highly recommend. Server Marcelo was top notch.
A true Island gem in the West Bay. Food was fresh and delicious, service was impeccable, and get the sticky toffee pudding!
I’ve been to Calypso Grill for over 15 years and it has never disappointed. The fish dishes are to die for! Calypso Grill also has the best desert I have ever tasted, the sticky toffee pudding. Best restaurant on the island!
Ate there last night. Ordered the crab stuffed shrimp. Tasted ok at the time but 2 hours after dinner I started to vomit and continued to vomit until 4am. Definitely something in the food that made me sick.
There is not one thing I would change regarding our visit to Calypso Grill last night! From the moment we walked in, to the time we left, the service was impeccable. Our server John Luca was both attentive and knowledgeable. Our food, was fresh, hot, delicious and prearranged spectacularly! Excellent wine list! We will definitely visit again! I almost forgot… the Sticky Toffee Pudding is a must!
Fantastic place! Food was superb!
Service & the view was on point
A must in the island
My husband are staying in Grand Cayman for a week. We needed to find a place to eat for lunch, but wasn't sure where to go because anyone that is somewhat familiar with Grand Cayman knows that there are hundreds of restaurants to choose from. We decided on this restaurant from a book that we received at our hotel. This restaurant isn't in the hub of the business district. It's kind of off the beaten path, so we didn't know what to expect. What a GREAT choice we made! The food was impeccable and the waiters (Marcello and Jaoa) were very attentive and awesome! The restaurant has indoor or outdoor patio seating right next to the water's edge. I told the waiters that if I could give them more stars on this review, I would! My husband and I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Wonderful food.
Spectacular views.
Stellar atmosphere.
Knowledgeable and attentive staff.
Do yourself a favor and check out the sunset, order some conch fritters, and soak in that extensive wine list!
Such a nice dinner experience with memorable food and service. Definitely the right choice for a special evening.
You probably should change your website to say your restaurant is closed right now. I just wasted time and money on a taxi there only to find out youre closed. What an awful way to end my last evening at Grand Cayman!
Given information by a local (Thanks, Todd!) to try this place and am I glad we did! Amazing food and top-notch service. The crab cakes were overflowing with crab. So much so, we don’t know what was used as a binder. Very flavorful and fresh. Serving the seafood paella in the cast iron skillet was genius and plenty for the two of us. Brimming with goodness. This was the only place we dined twice while on the island. The second time they remembered I’d mentioned we were on island for my wife’s birthday and they brought out the sticky toffee pudding on the house. Best. Dessert. Ever. Not kidding. Best dessert I’ve had, hands down. True story. Fabulous cocktail/ bourbon selection. Ambience and decor were true, old world Caribbean. Calypso makes it that much easier to plan our next trip to Grand Cayman. Kudos to the staff, bartender, waitstaff and chef.
Not a great smell here. Outside smells fishy. Nice view and great service. The food was very good. I had the best fish and chips ever and lobster bisque. The sticky toffee pudding was fantastic. Highly recommend it!
